Venusian Angels

I scratch at my chest,
My freshly shaved hair,
already starting to grow back.
The worst side effect of
my particular ailment.
That, and the bones.
Certain bones in my body,
Not shaped how they're supposed to be
My jaw too square
my hips to narrow
my shoulders too wide
my brows too angled.
And my organs!
Entire systems shifted
from inside my gut,
to OUT,
and some things missing alltogether.
And my voicebox.
Like a mismanufactured doll,
a deep baratone
in place of an angelic alto.
I am just an angel,
with clipped wings.
